Can anyone advise as to an independant service engineer for a roland VP540.
The metal strip that supports the ink lines and the encoder strip has become slightly kinked and when the heads return it buckles.
Anyone know of a workaround? or can offer any advice please.
The machine is just out of waranty and trying to keep repair costs to a minimum.Cheers
    Paul.

Is it the encoder strip that causes it to buckle or the metal itself.

When Andy from Roland came out to our SP540 we had the same problem with the encoder strip, it had got kinked somehow. He just turned it round from what I remember.

The encoder strip / ink lines are fine and not kinked, it seems to be the thin metal strip that supports the lines / encoder strip wont lay flat like it should. Although it is not bent it is a bit wobbly! and when the printhead returns to the capping station the whole lot wants to bunch up.
