Hi Guys. It’s just a quick question regarding my Roland VP… last week we had a power cut where I live for 12 hours so lost a days work and also worried all day that the printer would not work properly afterwards. But luckily it was fine. Anyway, again today we had another 9 hour power cut and again I’ve just printed a logo and it seems fine. So, my question is what should I do in future? Is it safe in power cuts as i was told you should never switch it off for long periods.

    Cheer Luke

Get a UPS if it’s going to be an ongoing problem. I would be more worried about frying the electronics on it, than the heads drying out(as long as you can manage to pump ink through every 24hrs, should be fine).
