I found this, about some new features of Versaworks V3 that are not in the help file. One of the new features is Perf Cut, you can get versaworks to cut perforations around your decals so you don’t need to slice up your decal sheets after they are print and cut, so you can tear them out like a postage stamp. You have to create a second custom spot colour called "PerfContourCut" and when you load the file into versaworks the extra options become visable in the cut menu. I have not tried it yet, but it does warn you that your cutting strip and blade may wear out quicker than normal. See link below.

    I’ve just tried it 😛

I need to adjust my blade depth don’t really want to do that during the middle of a production run.

    But it works.

Can you not adjust the blade pressure from versaworks?
I use a mimaki and signlab to die cut decals, And although mimaki has a second Knife position, the pressure can be set from the rip.

    Peter you can.

But even with 300grams of force I’m not cutting through the backing paper enough for this to work properly. I either need the blade further out or a sharper blade.

Our machine is setup for stickers all day everyday so we’ve never had the need to change the blade setup much.

The option in versaworks fine though. I did some but I wasn’t cutting deep enough in the perf option for it to give me a clean output.
