    Hi.
I will need some step by step guide to flush out old non original inks to replace with orignal eco sol max 3 inks. Mashine isn’t under warranty any more.
I have in place 2x refilable carts, 1L + 0.5L head flush solution, 6 dummy pads, full set of 8 es max 3 inks (dual CMYK). Also after this operation wish to change captop and felts (maybe dampers soon after).
By book, consulted with roland care, I should use 8x cleaning carts 90£ each, and only their engineer can do it charging me 300£ per hour as head flush option is hide in service mode… Sorry I don’t have such budget for now,
and I found way which letting me get into service mode, and can see head flush option now. Can anyone let me know what’s happen after execute this option? From my understanding, mashine will ask me to remove all carts, place 2 carts with cleaning into slot 1&2, place 6x dummies in rest slots, and then it will perform head flush for 2 channels at once (then 3&4, 5&6, 7&8), where I will ofcourse need to refill carts with solution between switch chanels. I assume it will be similar procedure like it is done on very first flush when mashine is new (its only guide of head flush i found in instructions…). Then it will ask to load max 3 inks and refill new inks and choosing configuration, am I close or I’m totally wrong in this? I need to know what going to happen after execute head flush option as I heard it cant be stoped/reverse when begin and dont want to screw up… Thanks for help.

I’d be somewhat wary about using Ecosolmax3 inks. I have a Versacamm VP540 which was converted and there has been a problem of the yellow head drying. I know that this has happened elsewhere on the forum. I’m having the machine converted back to the original inks. Its a shame because the inks do dry a lot quicker and its only the yellow that has this problem. Maybe the VSi is different.

Thanks for intrest to reply. I would like to check it on VSi, i spoke with Roland reps on Sign & Digital UK and they said max3 got more "punch" colors then max 2 and lower VOC. I don’t have decent air flow in my print room despite open window, so that sounds better to me… I’m going to perform head flush tommorow. Would appreciate if anyone can explain me flush head process… Regards

Whenever I’ve changed ink and flushed the heads, I just run a couple of powerful head cleans with the cleaning fluid cartridges in place?

I found that in newer mashines head wash can be only perform by enginer as option is hide in service mode. I get quote by roland for this and cost is 8x 80£ clenaing carts + 350£ per hour for enginer. MAD. I just tried flush system and get back to original inks not breaking bank..
I found how to access service mode, have option in "head wash", have now two refilable carts and head flush 2L, but still don’t have clear instructions how to perform head wash… Would this be like 1st cleaning when mashine is new – insert 2 carts with clenaing + 6 dummies, and clean by 2 channels, or i need plug in 8 clenaing carts with clenaing solution same time? On sp300 head wash was avaible in ink control menu and according to manual all 4 carts with clenainh has to be at same time.. Anyone can help?
