We had our machine serviced in November and since then it has not cut accurately, when doing print, laminate and then putting back in the machine for labels etc

The cuts are not running off, but move about 5mm down the sheet. The machine is finding the reg marks ok.

Anyone ideas on what the problem with the machine might be.

Also anyone recommend an independent Roland engineer, located in the Midlands, North

    Thanks

    Hi Mike,
I had the very same problem when my versacamm was first installed.
Always out the same amount on the cut run.
They sent me out an engineer who asked me to show him how I was doing it.
My method was correct but still off.

10 mins later he packed up his case and left.
He followed the call out with a hefty bill.

It was obviously some tweeking needed in the settings.
I ran the supplier who dropped the charge!

I know I haven’t answered your question, but at least
it won’t be a serious fix.
    Good luck.

There are print & cut alignment settings in the control panel on the machine if you haven’t tried that already, we have a couple of sp540v machines & have had this issue once or twice in the past, might be worth a try. Will second the Andy Malcolm recommendation, not much he doesn’t know about Roland printers, he may even talk you through the steps over the phone. He’s looked after all of my machines for 14 years, great guy
