looks like the heads are not dropping down to print on the vinyl.

versaworks sends the print ok but as i said goes through the motions but no print??

    Hi Chris,

Is the machine getting data and moving the head side to side to print, or is it just sat in the docking area doing nothing.

If its the first maybe try a couple of head cleans, if its not doing anything I’d imagine its a connection problem, can you "verify" the machine from versaworks (it’ll tell you if the machine is reachable)

yer it moves like its printing, but as i look under the head it isn’t toughing the vinyl surface
versaworks says all s good ,sends data ok??cleans heads ok.
would it have to do with the reset hole near the ink plug bottle??
i think i may have pushed it up thinking it had to do with moving the unit.

The head doesnt actually touch the service mate just flys over it.

Try doing a test print from the button on the front panel, you should get four dotted bands (one for each colour) if you dont then theres something far deeper than just a head clean. If its patchy or theres odd bits missing then try a manual clean.

Sounds to me like you have an air block in the ink pipes, try doing a couple of powerful cleans, we had the same issue when we moved recently.

    Cheers
