Roland printer engineer required in Scotland
Posted by Morgan Steele on 30 August 2017 at 06:04I’m looking for a printer engineer for a Roland VersaCamm VS-540i (i’m getting a SCAN MOTOR ERROR 0010 0010) who is based in or near Scotland, does anyone have a contact?
Thanks,

I normally get it on the vs-640i and just turn it off and back on and it works fine

quote Morgan Steele:Tried that several times Kevin….
Sorry to hear.. it’s literally just happened to my machine.
Just switched off power on the control panel and closed versa works and its up and running again.

Sorry I’m too far to come and look as I’m Ayrshire.
Here is a thing to try to rule out a fault with the scan motor.
Turn the machine off.
Lower the caps,
Manually move the print carriage over to the printing area.
Turn the machine back on…. if the carriage moves back to the home position the scan motor is working fine and it will more than likely be a sensor costing pennies. Also does this machine have a sheet cut? check to see if the knife is fully up, if the knife is down it will also cause this error as I had this with a XC540 a while back.

Thanks Jamie,
That seems to have fixed it….. I completely powered it off at the wall for 10 minutes too so whatever it was it’s now sorted!!
Thanks for your time mate. :claps:

Great stuff,
Give your encoder sensor a small bit of air too, could be a little bit of dust, who knows 🙂
Least it’s all working for you now 🙂
Jamie.
