thanks for that RL can’t believe that someone stays less than 5miles from me might be able to fix it, I had visions of sending it down south or somewhere to be repaired at large costs.
My problem with it, is about a year ago it started leaving lines on prints, so I decided to stop doing prints and as long as it cut vinyl then that would do me, as the cost of printing was getting a bit expensive and a bit stressful when ribbons started to snap or prints had lines or bands left on them.
Then about 4 months ago I decided to move machine from the spare room in house to the garage, which I had set out as a sign workshop, from then once I switched machine on the printhead/plotter holder mechanism doesn’t move, I’ve tried everything to rectify it but no joy, the signwork was still coming in so I decided to buy a new mimaki cutter for £1000 rather than get the roland fixed, but now a customer has asked for some printing and that’s what got me wondering if it was worth repairing the machine -
Lines on the print says to me that the print head is shot.
