I’ve just bought a second hand roland PC-60. I can get the printer to print or cut but I can’t get it to print and cut together.

Can anyone offer some help or advice?

    cheers

What version of windows are you using. I had problems using xp so I use windows 2000 and even better with windows 98

    Hi Nick,

Is it maybe something as simple (and un-scary) as the cutline? I know from experience of our old 600 you had to use just the right cutline – hairline black from what I remember. Maybe??? 😀

what sign package are you using?

I found xp to work fine after downloading the correct driver, corel draw i thought worked best with the pc60 😀

yeah from memory, "many years now", you had to assign the cut line/hairline to an unrelated colour within the graphic? again guessing from memory but do you not have to have a check-box clicked for "print and cut"?

PC60: Assign the cutting paths to Hairline in Corel, then in the driver select Cut by Width and select the thinnest line.

That will cut all the hairlines in the artwork.

    also,
don’t forget to copy color palette ‘user defined’ in corel directory (all instructions about that in manual)
now you can use ‘cutcontour’ color in corel colour menu /menu where you choose kind of line, thin, etc./
    one more thing:
you can use lines thinner than ‘hairline’ – i always using thinnest possible /like 0.001/

thanks for all your help. I’ve got it cutting like a dream now

The only problem I’ve no got is quite bad banding between the lines of print

    cheers

You can adjust the offset of the passes, should be detailed in the user manual, its a few key presses and a test print.
