We have just been sent our Roland warranty and trying to weigh up the options as the cost for 2 – XR640’s and 1 – XF640 would cost £9000 + VAT per year.

Is there any tech’s in south Yorkshire that can offer a quicker turnaround than the 10 days quoted on the pay as you go service from Roland (looking for the normal 2 days)?

Also your thoughts on if we are doing the right thing with going pay as you go as we cannot see £9000 + vat as being anywhere close to the repairs needed (we could go through 3 heads for this price).

Andy Broom is a freelance engineer in Nottingham and is ex-Roland. He should be able to help you. I think his company is CMYK solutions…?

    Hiya

I don’t suppose you have a number for Andy Broom do you, I can’t seem to find a company in Nottingham called CMYK Solutions.

Sounds like a handy guy to have a number for, I might need his help shortly, I have problems with my plotter at the moment.

I’d rather not post it on a public forum to be honest as I have 2 mobile numbers for him and I’m not sure which one is his personal one. Let me know your email address and I’ll send it to you.

Andy Malcolm is an option. However, I have first hand experience of Andy Broom’s work and I would definitely recommend him first.

I just found his email address:

    andy@cmyk-solutions.co.uk
