Roland DG announces further exciting details of its plans for ITMA 2015, which takes place in Milan from 12th-19th November. On a booth packed with innovative digital textile solutions and eye-catching samples in four inspirational application zones, Roland’s brand new Texart XT-640 64” dye sublimation transfer printer will take centre stage.

The XT-640, launched earlier this month, is a high-production addition to the Texart range, designed specifically for textile print production. With its rugged construction, a choice of 4 or 8 colour ink configurations and powerful ErgoSoft Roland edition RIP, the XT-640 delivers outstanding productivity and exceptional print quality across a vast range of applications including fashion, sportswear, soft signage, home textiles and much more.

In the booth’s Fashion zone, the XT-640 will play an integral role in an end-to-end ‘real time’ workflow, brought to life by designers, printers and a seamstress, model and photographer. Reflecting Roland DG’s strong connections with textile production and associated industries, the team has collaborated with students from a prominent fashion school in the Lombardy region of Italy. The workflow will demonstrate the efficiency, speed and ease of digital textile production as the students’ original designs are printed, pressed, sewn into finished garments and modelled live on the booth.

Encarna Luque, Business Development Director, Roland DG states: ‘Digital textile technology, such as Roland DG’s Texart range, is ideally suited to the fashion industry where trend cycles are becoming ever shorter and the desire for on-demand and bespoke runs is stronger than ever. Digital offers an agile, cost-effective, high quality solution and our fashion workflow will demonstrate this in an exciting, memorable way.’

Complementing the XT-640 will be the user-friendly and affordable Texart RT-640 64”printer, ideal for those entering the textile print sector or as an enhancement to your existing device portfolio. Also on the stand will be the Texart CS-64 Calender; a professional heat transfer system which is the perfect finishing partner to the Texart range.

In the booth’s colourful Sportswear zone, visitors will discover the vast range of durable, quality applications which are possible with digital technology on high-performance fabrics, kits and equipment. From football shirts and running shorts, to snowboards, gloves and helmets; the possibilities are endless.

Visitors interested in interior décor and home textiles should head to the Interior Decoration zone where the team will demonstrate the benefits of digital technology in the production of a wide variety of soft furnishings and applications for the home, including curtains, cushions, tablecloths, bed linen, tablewear and more. The Customisation zone promises to be a hub of inspirational activity for anyone looking to profitably produce branded garments such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps and bags.

With all this, plus the chance to pick up a free copy of Roland’s new Dye Sublimation Guide, the Roland DG booth promises to be the must-visit destination for ITMA delegates who want to discover how digital textile print technology can help give their business a competitive advantage.Encarna Luque concludes: ‘The Roland DG team is very much looking forward to welcoming all ITMA delegates to our booth. Our aim is to enthuse and inform visitors about the huge benefits and commercial potential offered by digital technology, whether its discussing what a particular device could do for them with one of our specialist team, picking up tips from our free Dye Sublimation

Guide, sparking their imagination with our live demonstrations or getting inspiration from our incredible range of samples and applications.’

Rebranding the campaign as the more seasonally appropriate ‘Great Roland DG Trade In’, Roland DG will be continuing their already successful Trade & Treat trade-in campaign to allow interested customers the chance to trade their old, troublesome machines in for something shiny and new – as well as leaving their bank balance several thousand pounds richer.

The campaign for the autumn/winter season offers interested customers the option to trade in an eco-solvent or latex print/print and cut machine, between the sizes of 24-64”, for a variety of Roland DG’s best-selling wide format print and print-and-cut printers. For their old machines, whether they’re still in working order or ready for the scrapheap, those who choose to purchase will receive a generous amount ranging between £3-5,000 to use as they wish.

For those looking to reach the next level of high quality, wide format print, the VersaCAMM SP-540i would be the ideal choice, with £3,000 available to those who choose to trade in with their purchase. For business looking to add more versatility to their offering, the VersaCAMM VS-540i and VS-640i provides fantastic quality combined with brilliant functionality – and those who purchase can walk away with £4,000 in cashback. Finally, for those looking to add even more speed and power to their business, the PRO 4 series is an impressive option for a busy print shop; with the SOLJET PRO 4 XR-640 providing fast, consistent, vibrant prints and the SOLJET PRO 4 XF-640 offering incredibly fast print speeds of up to 102m²/hr, as well as a trade in value of £5,000 per machine.

The trade in campaign will continue to run, subject to stock availability, with final orders to be completed by 30th November 2015 – though with stocks being limited, opting in sooner rather than later is highly advised to avoid disappointment.
