I am hoping that someone might be able to help.

I’ve noticed this morning that my Roland CM-300 is having a few problems when cutting out text.

It seem to be OK with the bigger text, or maybe that it’s just not as noticeable.
It is as if the vinyl is slipping. the text seems disfigured.

Has anyone had this problem with their plotter?? I’ve tried changing the blade, but that hasn’t made a difference.

Morning everyone……I’m still having problems with my Roland not plotting properly…..I’ve taken some photos to show what the text is like.

Any ideas?? I know the cutting depth is too deep, but I’d just changed the blade to see if that made a difference.
But it’s the actual cutting that seem off.

    Any suggestions??

    Stacey
This looks like a case of incorrect blade offset.
We had one of those on the boards a few months ago.
It is a Fairly simple adjustment on most machines. Try different numbers until you get the one that delivers the best results for the blade you are using.

If that’s small text then possibly the vinyl bunching up it must stay completely flat.
Causes dirty or damaged cutting strip not allowing the vinyl to slide smoothly.
Bearings in the knife holder or loose head mount.
