Hi everyone, my Roland CM-24 keeps pausing during its cutting cycle. Ive tried performing the test cut, where it cuts out the word CAMM 1, and it cuts it perfectly without any pauses. When i cut an actual design in Flexi, it keeps pausing every 5 seconds or so? Someone says it could be the spool settings? I wouldn’t even know where to look for the spool settings if this is the answer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Wyne, it might be something people haven’t come across. Your best bet would be to try Scanvec as they produce the software and have probably come across this before.

Depends on how the plotter is being addressed.

Baud rates, HPGL / DMPL, spooler/direct, onboard buffer size….

Multitude of things that can cause a bottle neck as the plotter actually runs ahead of the information being sent to it causing it to pause.

Basically check all of your settings are optimised.

Where to look….Flexi helpline / plotter manual best guess.

Are you using a laptop? I am not sure but I think they put out a slightly reduced signal which is fine for most devices but a big plotter? It is definately the case with parallel ports on a laptop.
