Am trying to cut some vinyl stickers 120mm long x 30mm high

its a website address and am having a nightmare with the www.

cutting force is 160 – is my blade up for replacing?

If so can you recommend a supplier of cutting blades?

    Thanks for your help

    Tony

Hi Tony, sounds like your blade is well past replacing – on my PNC1100 I start off with the pressure at 70g on a brand new blade ( for standard vinyl, or 110g for thick stuff like chrome look ) and up it to about 110g as it wears – once it gets to this I replace it as the blade is generally dulled and not worth using.

Best blades I have found are any new ones ( I normally use ones sold by Metamark ) – the cheap £5 resharpened ones are OK, but blunt really quickly, and the more expensive new ones work out cheaper as they can last ten times as long.

Thanks Mike – I was beginning to lose faith with the board !

I have already bought some "new" ones on ebay for £5.80 as an interim measure.

I have a software issue now – trying to plot from illustrator 9.0 – with no success – Is this the right forum to post in??
