I have an issue with regards to alignment. Basically I have a file with all my text to be printed which i have ripped in versaworks. I have used the tile function to segment the artwork during the printing process due to the arkwork being large.

I printed and laminated the artwork and at the beginning of each piece to be printed i have done a sheet cut. (this is so i know how to alighn when feeding back in for the cutting). After laminating everything I later realized that I was adjusting the actual rip file for the different panels so didnt have the different rips for the different panels which i needed for the cutting!!!

Can i still rescue my work?? If i do a base point what does it actualy do from that point?? If its going to print or cut from that point then its okay but if for example i have a white space above the text to be cut which when printing was 4cm and now i have tiled that very area but its 5cm would that mean miss alignment?? What is the best thing to do??

My initial plan was to do a basepoint furtherest in the corner it can go with the relevant rip for each of the panels so alignment would be perfect when cutting.

    thanks

Just rip the job again exactly as you did the first time but don’t let it print.
The information will then be there as before. Then Just change it to cut only.
When you do this type of thing just re-import the job for each version and don’t change it each time.
