rockhopper II not loading media (Opal Tiara 64)
After a day of printing banners, I loaded up a roll of arlon white vinyl and it threw a little bit of a wobbly. It wouldn’t detect the media.
OK, sorted that -appeared to just be the IR sensor with a bit of dust on it or something…so printed off a few metres of vinyl.
Cut off the job & again it went a bit mad.
Set to ROLL media. Clamps down – it checks the width as normal then (wrongly) feeds the media BACK until it’s JUST being held by the clamps instead of just returning to the park head position waiting to print OR it starts to feed it back then ‘jams’ with the carriage stranded mid position (usually).
LOOKS like it’s trying to measure a panel although set to roll.
Throws up error code E000? – beeps a hell of a lot and forces you to do a ‘power off’.
On re-power up – returns the carriage to the capping stations, does a head clean and as ‘normal’ requests the normal load media setup…then repeats the situation above.
Bit stuck
Tried other media – same issue. No other error codes just E000 which I’m guessing is just a ‘general error’.
Anyone have any experience of this or solutions? Many thanks

All sorted…after many hours trawling the interweb took 5 minutes to alter 1 setting.
