    Hi

Hope someone can shed some light on my printing issue, before I have to re mortgage my house to pay Roland. I am experiencing overspray on Black and particularly silver inks. See attached Images.
I have recently had building work going on & whilst every effort was made to isolate the printer from this inevitably dust of humidity could be contributing to this. If anyone could shed some light on the problem I would be very grateful.
    Thanks in anticipation.

    Alex

Hi Alex. I’m not a printer engineer. But looks like you need to do few cleaning cycles. On the Mutoh we have an option to clean the head with buds and cleaning liquid using your hands and then do auto cleaning via the printer menu. Judging from your photo-nozzles are blocked and ink is not coming down, instead it sprays in a different direction. It will be interesting to hear from the other members.

Thanks for the replay Pane, The manual clean option on the Roland only cleans around the head, capping station & wipers not actually on the head.

How many head cleaning cycles have you done? Does it change the print quality after few head cleanings?

Is it the same nozzles missing on each test print?

the sides and back of the heads need cleaning manually, I bet they’re full of gunk
A nice clean and they’ll be no overspray

I will try that, I have cleaned the manually but am always a bit cautious of damaging the head by touching it with the foam pad.
