Repositional Double Sided Foam Tape required
Posted by Warren Beard on 15 January 2021 at 14:07Hi All
I’m looking for a foam double sided tape to hang pictures on the wall, the pictures are foam centred board and small so very light weight but the tape is repositionable, not sure if one side is high tack to stay bonded to the board but the wall fixing side is repositionable.
Anybody have any idea where I might be able to get some is small quantities?
Thanks
Warren

Something like the 3M picture hanging strips should do it.
If they can hold a photo frame to a wall, should hold foam core no issues.

Hi Guys
These are quiet expensive as will be looking at a lot and to buy them retail doesn’t make sense, really need to find it in rolls from a manufacturer or trade supplier etc.
An online company uses it for their pictures and they seem to be selling a lot of them with this tape on for a good few years now so there must be something out there.
Cheers

Repositionable, I would be wary of something of any weight to adhere long term!
May be as a workaround… why not buy a cheap version of the companies product and have it delivered to you. the tape normally has a branded liner you can google, or maybe comes with installation instructions with the brand of the tape showing there?
The 3M tape is good, even if pricey, but it’s not what I would think repositionable as such. the stretch of the tape is breaking down the adhesion, nothing else. and I doubt you could continue to use it?

Hi Rob, that picture is their actual sample so unbranded tape and they defiantly promote repositonable. I’m yet to test it myself but they state it on the website and show it in the promo videos. It’s foam centred board so extremely light.
There must be something out there, I can import a container load but surely somebody knows it and has some ….. fingers crossed lol.
