  • Replacing Foam board with composite question

Posted by Adrian Yeo on 10 September 2010 at 07:20

    Morning all

I am quoting a job at the moment to replace a shop sign. Existing fascia is an 8mm foam-board (2 panels) in a panatrim frame. I am wanting to go with composite.

The customer ideally would like to keep the existing frame up.

My question is, can I just change the panels over or will the thickness difference cause too much play in the frame?

Probably a stupid question to most but never had to re use a frame before. 😳

    Many thanks

    Adrian

It may rattle a bit – so glue some thick strips to the back of the board to make up the thickness….simples.
