  • Replacing firewire board on Mimaki JV3 – help please?

    hi folks, i have replaced the firewire board on my jv3, it still came up that it didnt recognise the printer on the pc, i then replaced the firewire cable, no joy still. Is there anything that needs reset after the board and cable is replaced. according to the messages i am getting on the screen the the computer and printer are not recognising each other. any help much appreciated 🙁 🙁

    A good test will be to plug another fire wire device into the computer hosting the printer to check its not some thing on that pacific computer that is the problem.
    Also I would recommend you plug the printer into another computer ie laptop just to make sure it Identifies that printer. ( you will know as soon as you plug it in as you should get a "installing drivers alert appear in the task bar"

    got it sorted, re-installed the drivers, all good, printing like a wee dream 😀 😀 😀
