  • Removing heatpress textile vinyl, advice please?

Posted by Mike Thornley on 12 September 2019 at 11:23

    Hi
We have a couple of shirts we need to re-do, but need to take off the vinyl that hasn’t stuck that well.
Any products out there that will cleaning remove heat pressed vinyl from garments?
    Thanks

Only problem is it leaves a glue residue

Ive had pretty good results with it. More of a ghosting i would say, hopefully the new logo covers it up.

Remember to spray on inside of garment!! Otherwise it turns to gunk

Yeah, found that too. Even sticking it through the washing machine doesn’t help that much. Best results are when its used just after the garment was pressed so maybe pressing the garment before spraying would work better, will have to try it.

unless it’s an expensive jacket or something, I’d just buy new in and re-do, no messing, no mess, no wasted time, yes a bit more money but think what else you could be doing to earn instead of salvaging a couple of relatively cheap hoodies!
