I Produced some black aluminium composite signs for a local pub in May this year,

He has no asked me to change what he has on them, no problem I have removed the vinyl letters and all the glue residue, but am left with ghosting of the previous design how do I get rid off this?

    Thanks in advance 🙂

You won’t be able to. Its because the material not covered has been exposed to the UV light and weather and the material under the vinyl is still like brand new.
This will even happen with vans sometime. People say it damages the paint but it doesn’t it protects it.

    …exactly!

using products like t-cut is not effecting the new exposed paint from under the film. the t-cut is polishing up the exposed and weathered areas and trying to bring this area upto scratch with the pristine paintwork now exposed when the letters taken off.

paint on the surface of composite and the like is never as durable as car paint. if you rub some of the cheaper brands firm with a paper towel you can dull the paint from brand new. (i have that t-shirt too) :lol1:
