Is it possible to remove the background of a PDF file?

I have managed to double click it in Signlab 7.1, select the path and delete it upon which Signlab crashes 🙁 I have Photoshop (hardly use)/Coral 12)

    Anyhelp would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Dave

If you post up the pdf – I’m sure somebody could do it.

Is it vectors or a bitmap?

    yes, post it

photoshop has some plug-ins like Fluid Mask and KnockOut which can do a reasonable job, depending on the difficulties.

but I really would need to see it

    thanks

    Isnt knockout a Corel program?
And fluid mask is an additional plug in you have to buy
Photoshop uses the extract filter to create a mask round the object which is pretty good, just the standard quick mask tool is goo d enough for any task you will use in day to day usage.

Untill the image is seen, hard to suggest the best method to erase the background.

Well if youre going to use photoshop, theres only 2 methods worth using unless its so simple you can use the magic eraser function.
either quick mask, from the tool menu or extract in filter options
But I agree lets see the image so we can see the best way to do it.

If you own Acrobat Pro then you can use editing tools to remove offending items (unless the whole thing is a bitmap)

You could use the clipping tool in Signlab
