Reflective help! Need a supplier!
Posted by Shaun Nicholson on 9 August 2017 at 16:11Hi All,
Could anyone tell me where I can get this engineering grade reflective vinyl from please? I believe it is called ‘Uber-Flek’. Possibly the ‘S-Range’? I know of one supplier that do the range in 610mm wide but I desperately need this in 1220 wide or wider. If anyone could advise I would really appreciate it.

The backing is the same as cheap Chinese unbranded reflective. Have a look on ebay at the cheap striping from China and you’ll see the backing is the same. Avoid it if you can and use Oralite.

Thanks Justin,
I hate using it, I know its cheap and nasty but the customer is insisting on using it based on its colour. It is a light red reflective which no other suppliers come near. Not even Oralite.

Try Graphityp.. I had a sample sent to me a while ago when I was doing some research and think it MAY have been from them.
Edit: Grafityp
Looks like it may be their TM3203 red commercial grade -
I’ll give them a call tomorrow. Not dealt with them in years, didn’t think of them as an option.
Thanks again Justin

Source it, then charge them a minimum "buy-in rate of 10 metres increments of material" regardless of quantity required. (on top of quoted price, even though thats NOT what you will be buying it in on).
If they know the media etc. then there is a reason they are trying you out and thats "i imagine" based on price like for like.
It is one thing buying in something you do not use, but buying in crap you will never use again is n naive commitment. I hope the promise of work is credible.
