Ive just moved to a new unit where it is a bit colder and harder to heat, ive noticed that the reds from my XPres system are coming out darker than before, sometimes not a good thing.

    Any ideas?

Do you mean the actual office lights Dave? They are different but this is quite a noticeable change in the red.

Maybe the transfer paper is cold or damp. Try warming it under the press. Dont press the paper, just leave the iron 4cm above the paper for 30 secs or so to dry it out.

Have you / did you take the reds outside in natural light to compare – do you have some of the old to compare with the new.

I’m with Dave – light makes an incredible difference, different tubes, wall colouring, space in the room all make light different – the only stable (ish) measure is daylight.

Classic example – did some decals for a client and they matched it on the printer, took the sample outside and it was a different colour!

    Worth checking.
