  • Recommendations for back lit film

    Hi all

Just had an enquiry for some printed back lit film for some illiminated signs 30" X 40" and would like some advise from people who have printed them on an SP540V using ecosolMax inks
What film was used and how did you set up Versaworks.

I’ve been looking in my old Andersons sample book at some Sihl material and is seems a bit dull on the front side, almost looks like it would be better to print without mirroring and let the clear cover on the light box do the protecting.

The light boxes will have a diffuser and a clear cover.

    Thanks
    Steve

We have used Backlit Hydrosol from Robert Horne on our versacamm using ecosol max inks with acceptable results.

I have seen the Metamark equivalent too(although never tried it) which looks to be a nice material giving vibrant colours.

    Hope that this helps.

    Cheers

Thanks for the reply Gary, I’ll look into these for future use as I think I may decline this one having looked at the price of the materials I’ve found and the amount of inquiries I’ve had it may not be worth getting a full roll.
