i have 2 pop up style banners which were used at a show last year which need to be updated for this years show. unfortunatley, they are not the interchangable ones. does anyone know if you can apply new printed banner material over the top of the existing design. it seems to be possible but would be very tricky, has anyone ever had to do this before, and did you suceed?!
    thanks in advance

If it is the spring loaded roll up type then the system will not work as the roll will be to thick to roll back in.
Most of the ones I do are just double sidded, could you not remove and re tape.

You can usually remove the old banner and tape a new one in place. You just have to clean the old glue/tape off.

look at the banner cassette on the sides you should see a hole.

on a bench pull the banner out past its length to expose the leader, use an allan key to lock the roller cut off your old graphic stick some double sided tape on the leader and stick down the new graphic.

measure old graphic before printing new one include the non visible bleed required that goes into the base.

thanks for your comments. we put the new banner over the top of the old one. we left it streched out overnight and then let it return back into the mechanism. believe it or not it wasnt too thick at all for the roll but i wouldnt do it like that again as it is hard to apply well but it was good enough for its purpose
