  • Range Rover Revere Orange Colour?

Posted by Jonathan Burke on 26 November 2014 at 20:23

    Hi guys,

A client of mine wants to have his Range Rover Rivera wrapped the same colour as this one spotted in London:

I have checked all the swatches, 3M, Hexis and Arlon and cannot seem to put my finger on the closest colour to match the orange Range Rover linked.

Has anyone worked with the 3M 1080 G364 Gloss Fiery Orange vinyl? That to me seems the closest match?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Jonathan

looking at it, from the picture, ide have thought it been an Arlon candy colour from memory, but i don’t have in front of me for reference. i have the latest swatches of all three as well as Avery supreme, but they are in my drawer at work. 😕

the 1080 is a very good film with their control-tac + grey air release adhesive system on it. so easy application as far as bubbles are concerned and its a cast so will conform well.
make sure the room you are fitting in is around 17-23 degrees and the vehicle surface is there about also as the control-tac adhesive system performs better as the adhesive needs to be receptive to the microscopic glass beads in the adhesive. so room temperature is ideal… also be sure to apply using firm squeegee pressure for same. caution, is it is not recommended for sharp and deep recessed areas, which i would imagine is down to the air channels in the adhesive. so you should consider inlaying media in these areas.

if sourcing, i would recommend Wm Smiths as http://www.williamsmith.co.uk

    Thanks for the insight Robert.

Would you be able to check your latest swatches for me tomorrow and report back? I don’t think the Arlon swatch I have has the candy colours on it.

Looking at the Arlon UPP site it could be the CWC-854?

    Cheers

    Hi Jonathan

From the picture it looks like it could be Arlon Citrine CWC-854

If you need a colour sample to check in the flesh just contact our sales office and they will get you one in the post for you. Its a standard stocked product.

I would be surprised if its 3M 1080-G364 Fiery Orange as its not available in UK yet. The US launched these new colours a little while ago but will be launched in the UK in early 2015 …. We haven’t even got the colours yet. If it is it has been specially imported through the US.

    Hi Stuart.

Thank you very much for the information. I shall contact your sales team tomorrow asking for a sample and some new swatches. As my Arlon swatches don’t have the candy colours.

    Thanks again guys.

Arlon Citrine is more of a gold look. Are you sure thats a wrap and not painted?

As above are you sure its definitely a wrap? I think Range Rover did that colour as a special option – Vesuvius Orange?

Gents. I am unsure if it is a paint job or wrap. I am just looking for the colour that would be the closest match as a wrap for a client.

    Cheers guys.
