  • "Foil" stickers for high heat applications…?

    Hi folks,

I’ve been asked to supply stickers made from a material which is heat resistant… exactly how hot i’m not sure, but they are to go on engines and brake calipers for a performance car specialist.

Now I’m not sure where to start here… to me, there are two options…

    A. Individual cut letters in the usual vinyl manner, or
    B. Printed “stickers”

Can anyone suggest a suitable product and / or company that could do this??

    Thanks in advance

    darren

    Hi Darren
Vinyl labels would not be suitable for heat resistant labels. You would need to move to a Polyester. This material has an upper melt temp of approx 255 degrees C (What ‘melt’ means I don’t know) but certainly vinyl could not live in any kind of high temp.
How do you propose to print?

The material that will do for this needs to be laser engraved , it’s a material called spectrum lite or laser lite , it has a high heat resistance. http://www.rowmark.com/Products/Marketi … lights.pdf
    has specs on it
Apart from this material ,0.5-0.9mm thick anodised alumininum , screen printed with a metallic ink would do.
