Pyramid Display invest £100k in new media slitting machine.
Pyramid Display Materials continue to invest in their customer service offering with the purchase of a new slitting and rewinding machine. At a cost of over £100,000 the new piece of kit was recently installed in Pyramid’s specialist conversion facility housed close to their main warehouse in Trafford Park Manchester.Capable of converting up to 11⁄2 tonne master reels of paper, plastic and self adhesive digital rolls up to 1600mm wide, the new investment compliments Pyramids other vast array of sheeting, slitting and rewinding machinery. This latest investment, utilising state of the art technology, is 4 times faster than Pyramid’s existing kit thus quadrupling output and speed of turnaround offered to their customers.
Dennis Morgan, Pyramid’s Managing Director comments on the new addition to their conversion plant “We will continue to invest in improving our service to our customers wherever possible and our new slitter and rewinder certainly will enhance our offering to the market. As our market changes, with customers requiring more bespoke product suited to their particular printing machinery, this new piece of kit helps us keep pace with our fast moving industry”. Never heard of pyramid before or seen it mentioned on the boards. Are these guys new?

No not new mate, they have been around a long time now.
there has been multiple news stories based on Pyramid posted in the news section as well as people using them. that said, not as often as many other suppliers.
heres one of the earliest mentions of them by MacTac in their mention of suppliers of mactac media in 2005.

Used pyramid since starting out as their main warehouse is 10mins from pur unit.
