PUSH Design & Print, turns tables with 3M Floor Film

3M IJ162 white interior floor graphic film and 3M 3645 overlaminate, supplied by William Smith, was chosen by Glasgow based Push Design & Print to create a feature boardroom table for one of their clients.
This unusual application was part of a refurbishment of their client’s new office space, which also included wall murals. “Our client had intended purchasing a new boardroom table, but we suggested a way in which he could re-use his existing table,” explains Push Design & Print’s Bradley van Beuge. “He is fascinated by all things Vegas, so we developed the idea of creating a roulette table image that would act as a talking point.”
“We chose 3M IJ162 as we had used it previously for floor graphics. It’s hard wearing but also removable if required. It’s a great product, it prints well and is durable. 3M 3645 overlaminate was chosen as it gives a nice textured feel that adds interest and give a ‘furniture’ feel to the finished graphic, with a non-slip finish.”

3M™ Controltac™ Plus Graphic Film Series 162 for interior applications is designed for durable removable floor graphics when used in conjunction with 3M™ Scotchcal™ Overlaminate Film 3645. Its outstanding resistance to dirt, abrasion and wear from high foot traffic, make it particularly suitable for smooth waxed vinyl, sealed concrete, marble, terrazzo, ceramic and wood finish floor surfaces. Available in white and transparent options, Series 162 is suitable for screen & digital printing and comes with up to one year warranty and one year durability.

William Smith was Push Design & Print’s chosen supplier due to their in-depth product knowledge. “When you purchase from William Smith, you’re not just buying material. Because they print and produce trade graphics in-house themselves they understand the materials they supply,” says Mr. van Beuge. “They are very knowledgeable and never too busy to talk to you.”
