Down in oz we have a product called Viponds UV Digi Clear. Maybe you have something similar in the UK? We just spray it on.

Hi Peter,
What kind of ink are you using to print with, do you use solvent or water based?
We use water based inks to print our canvas and we use a UV lacquer from Russell & Chapple. It comes in spray or brush/roller application.
Makes are canvas prints look fantastic, really brings out the colours and contrast. It also makes the canvas more flexible for stretching and stops the inkjet layer from tearing when stretching.Hope I was any help

Hi Mark, I’m using Activasol inks onto Metamark solvent canvas, it prints fine but even after a couple of days you can scratch the image with your fingernail. It just doesn’t seem up to it.

Hi Peter,
Even with out a lacquer on my prints the image is quite durable, it wont scratch off as the canvas we use lets the ink sink in quite deep, we only use water based ink. Just don’t throw water over our prints until there lacquered, 😀
I’ve been thinking about getting a solvent printer so I wouldn’t have to lacquer my prints, but if your having problems with the print getting scratched easy then I think I’ll stay water based.

Used to use Grafityp acrylic print sealer but can’t get this anymore so have just bought Glamour 2 Giclee protector for here http://www.breathingcoloruk.com
There is a video on the site showing use (corny) but I will let you know how we get on. Its a fair bit cheaper than frog juice etc.
