  • Problem with PNC-1000 in corel x3

    HI!
    I have trouble with fonts(only with text) when I`m start to cut on the cutter display says;
    ERR: WRONG NUMBER OF PARAMETERS;
    and then just cuts a line crossings.

    Sounds like a problem we had.
    Be sure to use serial cable with the PNC1000

    hi
    I tried different setting on the plotter and so now the plotter cuts shapes OK,
    and I still cant cut anything what I wrote (fonts)?

    Is there any other setting in corel X3???

    please help!!!!!

    Try converting the text to curves first.

    Make some text then go back to the picker tool > right click the text and convert to curves

    Be sure to use ‘hairline outline’ with ‘no fill’

    here is the pinout diagram for the serial cable for the Roland camm-1s eg pnc1000 etc. It is NOT a normal straight through serial cable, which is why it is easier to use the standard printer/parallel cable, or buy a serial one from roland specially made…or make it yourself:

    P.S. if cutting from winXP, be sure the <size> on the console is set to freey>y, NOT expand X, if you are using Corel.
