  • Problem printing with Canon w8200?

Posted by Richard Barker on 30 May 2006 at 16:05

    hi

i have finally got my pc and Canon W8200 PG talking to each other, well just about.

After a week of trial and error i can now print a test page from the pc, but it wont let me print any images.

someone has told me that it could be my firewall and internet protection etc.

i tried uninstalling all my mcafee products but still no joy.

    any ideas anyone?

could you be printing outside the page area?
i do not know anything about this printer so i am guessing…
if you have a page setup, the printer will print anything within the page area. if the object is outside this area it will not see, or print it.

is it a serial, parallel or USB printer.

If USB, do you have ver 1 or 2? Make sure you have the correct drivers

Have you got print spooling turned on? Spooling will think it has printed, but will not spit it to the printer until it gets a print page signal or it fills a page. (hope that makes sense)
