I think I am being messed around here.
I have advised good clients of mine about buying a new logo design and signage from another ‘very good’ sign company. (I don’t qualify to do the work as I don’t have what is called C2 status here.) I think I was right in saying that if they are paying for the the design that they should be getting all the files.

They called the company who have reluctantly given them all the files Jpeg, Ai etc.
However I can’t open or even post the AI file on here….it tells me the extension is not allowed.

Could I email this to somebody to have a look and maybe identify what kind of file it is? In properties the ‘File Type’ is ‘File’, which strikes me as odd.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The file you sent did not have any extension on it so I gave it a AI one, Sl opened it but would not let me save it, saying invalid format? got it open in CS2 then it saved ok as eps?

    Nick.
