    Hi,

Just took delivery of a new CRP from MDP.

I’ve connected it to a laptop running XP and CorelDraw X4 via a USB cable.

I’ve installed the software that came with the machine (Robo Master Pro and Cutting Plotter Controller, I also downloaded Cutting Master 2) but I’m not sure if CorelDraw recognises it.

There is an icon showing a pair of scissors, (I assume that is because of the software I installed) but when I press it the image I’m trying to print just disappears. Pressing Ctrl-Z brings it back.

If I select the printer icon (or File|Print) then it takes me to the default printer, which is the cutter.

When I tell it to print, the cutter responds (the Status light blinks once and the head twitches!) but no print happens if the text is rotated through 90 deg to make it cut across the vinyl, but if I leave it in the normal orientation it prints along the vinyl, wasting the stuff on either side.

I’ve done a test print using the test button on the machine and that works fine.

    Could somebody advise please?

    Thanks.

    John 🙁

Sorry to hear of your problems.
Simple solution should be to read the user manual that should have downloaded with the cutting master software?
Should answer your questions on settings etc. and where to find the corel plugin.
If you can’t find it you can download from the Graphtec website.
If still got issues please ask again.

Don’t use corel much but the scissors icon is cut to clipboard which is why it disappears.

    @Simon,

Thanks. So I now know that the scissors icon has nothing to do with it.

Now I’m not sure if Corel has got the plugin or not. How do I tell?

I have read the manual, and quite a lot else besides, but everything I read seems to assume that it will just work, and I haven’t seen one word on how to get the plugin into Corel.

    Cheers

    John

John from memorY there is an icon on the toolbar on corel i think it is a rocket (application launcher) click on that choose cut plot and it will take you through to the cutting master or graphtec software from there you can sort orientation etc etc hope this helps
