    Hi ladies n gents,

One of my rugby club colleagues has asked me if I can print onto morph suits.

I use either laser transfer – prob not suitable, or garment vinyl ( grafityp) and I’ve had mixed results on stretch garments – even with the correct vinyls. Does anyone know if this is possible or, is direct to garment the way to go?

    Thanks in advance

    Hugh

I dont know what a Morph suit is but I think you´re saying it like Lycra and very elastic. There is a garment vinyl manufactured by PolyTape that is unbelievably elastic and has good rebound quality. Find a Polytape reseller and ask them about it. Failing that, ring Polytape in Germany and ask for a supplier in the UK.

I have seen football fans dressed in these with no obvious eye holes, how do they see 😀

If they are polyester, and light colours, you could try dye sublimation.

    thanks for the replies guys,

I’ve had mixed results with lycra type materials, some have taken print very well, others have lost their stretch.

Morph suits are as mentioned above, some in lots of colours and designs are getting more interesting but I suspect they’re sublimated like many rugby shirts now are – printed or sublimated onto a sheet, panels cut out and the shapes sewn together.

these suits are very big at the rugby internationals and sevens cometitions, they’re a very fine mesh so like looking through stockings (for those with a certain pénechánt for doing so! ), a pal at the rugby club asked me if i could print on a bunch for their day out somewhere – I didn’t know if i could!

    thanks,
    Hugh
