    Not sure Marcie.

Wouldn’t people just print and laminate to achieve the same?

i’ve successfully stuck vinyl to dry wipe boards, perhaps you could print onto white or clear and contour cut?

No Marcella, not possible at all.

I usually print to vinyl, and apply a clear dry wipe (called dry erase here) as a laminate. Works well.

    Cheers

I have got a quote for dry wipe boards and I was going to apply vinyl to them. But as there is 50 boards to do I also considered dry wipe vinyl over a cheaper material to see if it was more cost effective.
Wondered if it could have been printed to save time floodcoating after it’s lettered.

might be cheaper, i’ve never bought them new because of the price, i got my big one from the tip when i took some junk down there, paid £2 for it !!! always found dry wipe vinyl hard to get from my old supplier.

We usually overlaminate with anti-grafitti film to provide a surface which can be written on with anything. Also has the benefit of writing surviving in the rain if a permanent marker is used.

Interesting question Marcella, thanks for asking it.

I have been wondering about how to make them myself.

If you dont mind me asking Shane, where do you get that from, and do you buy it by the metre or do you need to buy a roll? Expensive?

    Thanks, Roger

Dry wipe vinyl costs approx £8.60 for 760mm wide (think that was from Europoint)
I got a quote for 50 dry wipe boards at £5 each (400 x 675mm, no frame) which I thought was a reasonable price. But only concern is the weight as they are 9.5mm thick. These boards are to sit within a car being held in position by the sun visor only.

Spandex sell it by the metre, only a 30" (760mm) wide roll though. Can’t remember the price mate, $15 per metre I think

You can buy dry wipe boards for dye sublimation, I’m not sure what the various sizes are but it might be worth you contacting a supplier.

    Saph 🙂
