    HI All!
just wondering if anybody is having problems with large format prints onto
corrieboard. I have had severe problems with the print coming off the board after 3 or 4 months, My supplier has told me that the "CORONA" DISCHARGE can be the cause on older sheets but he has no way of telling the age when he prints!!The only solution is to laminate before printing! any ideas anybody? the prints are uv cured.
    thanks
    mike

Not sure if your talking about digital printing on to correx or screenprinting.

For what it’s worth, screen printing onto correx required special ink to bond to the surface otherwise the ink would flake off, and standard solvent based plastic ink just wasn’t up to the job.

I’m sure I’ve been told somewhere down the line that Correx (or similar) for UV digital printing has to be treated differently to your standard correx normally used for screen printing on

Could it be that you are being supplied standard correx with a corona treatment suitable for solvent inks rather than UV ??

    hi glenn!
my supplier assures me that the correx he is printing on is the correct one
for UV inks it has been treated with a corona discharge but he has no way of telling when it was treated and as this discharge breaks down over time
this could be the cause of the print coming off!! any ideas anybody?
    cheers
