  • printing number plate border?

Posted by Derek Heron on 25 October 2006 at 15:00

i am doing myself some new number plates on the cadet (yes i am registered)
got them all set up in signlab chiseled effect etc but cannot get the border to print and contour cut inside and out of the line
the way i am doing it is drawing my outline curving the corners and duplicating and reducing in size so i have a three mm border
stupid question how do i fill it with colour and get it to contour cut in and outside the border
    my head is cabbaged

    😕

Not sure about signlab but in flexisign when you draw a rectangle, it gives you the option to set the radius of the corners and thickness of inner border if required. Leaves you with a perfect border everytime

Draw a rectangle, with a radius corner, change the outline colour and adjust the thicknes to desired width
Weld it and delete the inner part. then you can select contour cut, inside outside buton needs to be on. and you may want to apply some bleed as well,
