    Good evening one and all….
I have been asked to do a job for a customer which is by far the biggest I’ve ever been asked to do..
Basically, the customer is making a canopy which measures approx 40ft long by 12ft wide..
The customer has asked me to print onto banner material.I have a Roland FJ50 which prints to a maximum width of 1320mm, so the entire canopy is going to have to be made out of at least 3 pieces stitched together..The customer has said he will take it away and get it stitched himself..
What I’m wondering, is if banner material is OK for the job? if not what material would you use?? and also as i have never done such a big job before, how is the best way to go about setting the design up to be printed? bearing in mind it’s got to be printed in several pieces then stitched together??
    Hope that all makes sense!!
Any help would be much appreciated..
    many thanks
    Jay

I thought about this once, but doesn’t the Canopy have to meet fire regulations etc (does not catch fire etc) if your going to hold people inside it, I refering to a recent wedding I went to and we had in a canopy.

I know Dicksons banner material has Fire protection properties to it.. but thats about as I know about it.

The other thing, Dicksons is thick material… you need a damn good pro sewing machine for it.
