    Hi All,
Wonderr if anyone has any idea whats happening. I have printed about 48 metres of a logo it all in different pieces to make up lettering. After printing I had a few areas that wasnt right so I went to print a piece to stick in and its completely the wrong colour. I havenet touched anything I have changed 2 cartridges but I would imagine because I have printed such a long length any problems witht the print heads would have come to light. Any one got any ideas its a ROland VP 540

    Cheers
    Phil

and your test print is ok?

printing long lengths on emtpy and then changing the cart will require u to pull the ink thru

    Hi Dave,
There are 4 letters and 4 sets of letters approx 1.8 tall all printed and came out all the same colour. But now I go to print its a completely different colour. The first was a silvery blue now these are a purpely colour

I once replaced cartridges in the wrong positions (e.g cyan in the magenta slot, and magenta in the cyan slot) easily done when you’re rushing about 😳

Thing is you don’t notice there’s a problem until a good while later once the ink has made it’s way through the pipes.

Could this explain your problem too?

    you just said… laminate

how long did u leave it?
    how warm was your heaters

maybe ur rolled up ink was still wet and out gassing, the start of the print being the last bit that got laminated was dry

so was it bad before u laminated it?
