  • Printer roller help?

Posted by Shaun Cleary on 25 November 2010 at 11:19

We have a VP540 (but I assume most have rollers) we have noticed that the rollers on the machine leave a line on the printed banner.

Can anyone tell me how to stop this from happening?

    Hi Shaun,

We had a similar problem with ours….ended up being the tiniest (and I mean Tiniest) piece of hair or something stuck to the upper exit point of the machine which basically was dragging a thin line of ink off the banner before it reached the heater to dry…..

Is your line always in the same place or does it appear anywhere on the banner….Does it run continuous the full length of the banner?

    Darren.

Full length and directly in line with the rollers.

jv3 can do it… wash the rollers and problem is reduced.

also, happens badly with brown and green prints

    hi
too much heat can cause the rollers to leave tram marks
