printer/cutter or both?
Hi all,
After a few months of deliberation ive decided to buy a printer, i have worked with a jv3 before but would prefer to go ecosolvent due to ventilation. Have been thinking bout the versacamm for its print and cut. or would i be better to go for seperate units. What do you think? is there an alternative to the versacamm?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,
I have always thought separate units, if you have a big print job to do, on a combined unit you have essentially got two units tied up, or visa versa big cut job you can’t print 🙄 if one breaks two break it’s like combined tv and recorder if one doesn’t work neither does the other eggs in one basket springs to mind I am sure you will get lot’s of opinions so the choice is yours basically.Lynn

Thanks for your feedback.I know what your saying. I already have a 610mm plotter which i will be keeping thats sort of why ive been thinking of the versacamm, but then again a larger cutter and printer would be nice as i think i will have the space by the time of purchase and it would give me alot more options. (just expensive!)

Is there not an ecosolvent ink for the JV3? If I were in the market for a printer the Mimmaki would be my choice but I would want it with a mild solvent.
