Never heard of it mate, i would imagine any printing to the paper would have to be done before the paper was coated?
the silicon coating would repel any ink, even thermal. could they be talking about Tyvek type paper rather than greaseproof like in the food industry "which is kinda my line of thought".

If tyvek you can print direct to this and buy it from most reputable suppliers.

Thanks Robert, I haven’t used Tyvek, so will have a look into it. It is indeed for the food industry, to wrap burgers etc.

    Thanks again.

in that case tyveks not the answer mate. completely different type of material. Tyveks is like the temporary spray painters paper overalls but printable. They use it on building sites and many other things.

just did a quick search and there is companies offering this using "vegetable based inks"

    Hi Nigel.
We had a similar request a few months ago for a food company.
They supplied the grease proof paper, which was standard stuff and we printed on our uv flatbed. Work well.

    Hope that helps

    John

We’ve known JR Press for years, and can vouch for them.
