Printable polymeric vinyl with very good adhesive property
Hello all,
I am in the search of a good printable polymeric vinyl (I use a Mimaki CJV printer with SS21 solvent inks).
Up to now, my projects only required Oracal 3164 monomeric vinyls but want to switch to permanent polymeric vinyls mainly for mountain bikes usage (mud, high pressure water, cleaning liquids etc…).
I tried Oracal 3551 but I felt (as for the 3164) that the adhesive property is not satisfying (does not stick enough).
Could you please advise me a good printable vinyl that sticks very well? Or simply explain which are bad?
Any reference at 3M, Avery, Hexis, Mactac, Emblem…? or a comparison of these brands according to your experiments?
I have seen in vinyl data sheets that there are solvent and acrylic glue, which is the best?
Some vinyl are said: wet apply or dry apply. When wet apply: does it mean that it supports wet apply or that it MUST be applied with wet method for better adhesion?
Thanks in advance for your help.
