    hi guys

this one has me stumped so hope someone can help out!

i want to print from coreldraw X6 straight to the versaworks queue, i have this working beautifully from illustrator but from corel the print dialog doesnt have the option to use a custom size paper.

that means i have to choose a piece of paper bigger than the job i want to send and deal with the wastage! thats no good…..there must be something im missing.

    anyone any ideas?

    thanks

Export cdr file as an EPS then add to your print queue and nest the job(s).

    Cheers

    Hi john

Thanks for the reply, i know how to add an eps to the print queue but you can do it much more efficiently if you print to versaworks. It works perfectly in illustrator and drops the job straight in the print queue, great for when a colleague works in a different room as the job appears in the print queue without a member of staff having to ask where he has saved it and if its the right version etc.

It’s also quicker, one less job out of the way and you don’t use up drive space as its deleted from the rip when the job is done.

    Regards

You can add the page size to your page list but I think Draw takes the printing page size from the printer so can it be added from Versaworks.
    To add custom page size to your list in draw;
Double click on page boarder to goto page size setup and add in your new custom sizes.
Click save icon (middle icon next to page size
    Give page a name
this size is now added to your list for selection for new documents.

Am I right in thinking you want draw to automatically take the document page size as the printing page size?

oh never done that before just tried it works a dream.
select objects to print or position objects on to a page
    export as eps
point to folder A or B
    selected objects tick or next
advanced bounding box = objects or page
add bleed limit EPS border if not one setup in versaworks

sitting in queue A and as you say quicker as not looking for the file again
