I had 3 set of images to print for a reception counter I am revamping. They are approximately 5m long. I picked the "best setting" and doubled up the ink coverage. In doing this It took almost 10 hours per print!! Does this sound normal or did do something wrong?

Anybody any tips on the best way to set up prints etc?

Doubling up slows the printer due to the amount of ink being laid down, otherwise you would end up with a bad print as if the profile was in correct. Do yo not find the colours too dark when doubling up esecially when the light box isn’t lit

Kev the print isnt great when not lit but when in use the desk is always lit so as long as it looks good lit up i am happy!

I just seemed to take far too long approx 1/2 m2 per hour!

Pretty sure I saw somewhere the proper way to do lightboxes is to print on clear and opaque translucent then mount these together. I tried it on a small sample once and it really popped.

sorry just to be sure I understand; do you print on both? and then mount on an opal sheet?

Yep. From memory you apply the translucent then the clear over the top. I think it was in a sign craft or similar magazine from a few years back.
