i suppose we could spray the job once its in place
are you aware of any other laminate that would work chris?

I was advised that frog juice is not suitable for something like this where it is going to flex all the time. Curtain siders and banners basically.

my only suggestion would be try a bit of wrapping laminate not based on fact though, unlike f04857g frog juice comment.

the boys are off to refit i had to use metamark banner vinyl

it may not be permanent but it will give me some breathing space with the customer and easy to remove!

the signflex without question is a first class product but it does not hold a
solvent print and i have never had as much trouble removing vinyl as i had with this stuff 3 men 3 and half hours to remove half a square meter

i thought of the laminate chris and i will do a test before using on the job
the metamark held the print and frog juice ok

but any suggestions of a better process would be much appreciated

you could try a liquid laminate, i have used it on banners successfully that are going to be continuously rolled up in between market days

    John,

We printed some Signflex a couple of years ago and, knowing what curtains go through, I wasn’t happy leaving them unprotected. Avery said there is no matching laminate for Signflex, so we did it with the Oracal laminate we had in stock.

To date they are fine, and I’d happily use it again.

    John,

Thats good news chris had suggested this and i had thought of it myself
just a poiint i was blaming the frog juice for bringing the print of onto app. tape but when i reprinted this morning i dried it of and tried a bit of medium tack tape print came of onto paper
when i reprinted on metamark banner it was fine even with frog juice
although i think avery signflex is a great product i would not recommend for printing or it may be my printer jvc33 full solvent

i am a bit wary of using it in case we have to remove it again is anyone aware of a material that takes a print properly and stays on curtains and can also be removed if there is a problem

    :no1:

For curtains there is only Signflex and APA. Neither will come off without a fight.
