    this happened to me a few weeks ago, and the problem was the job file as when i eventually decided to print a job that i had already done, it printed fine so i cancelled the job that was printing like this and resent it and it printed fine (hair pulling then ceased) by the way it was an .eps file from corel that was doing it and then exported it again as an .eps and all was fine

    I would start by cleaning the encoder strip, front and rear. While you’re at it, make sure there are no scratches on it too.

    Like wot he said 😉 Try encoder strip and eye, the eye is behind the print had park position.

    Hi this happened to me last year, i ended up calling Roland and they sent me via an email a software upgrade. I honestly didnt expect it to work as i was sure it was a physical problem. That said i installed the software and it started printing beautifully. Still find it hard to believe but it did work

    Good point Jean, Might be worth updating the printer firmware to the latest version.

    this has happened me before! turned it off at the back and on again! Voila!
